Support Military Families

The story behind this website is all about the lives of military members and their families. The 50s and 60s were tough times, with the Cold War and the trauma of Korea and Vietnam. It was very hard on military families, but for the most part economic matters were pretty good. Favorable exchange rates took a lot of the sting out of overseas deployments. And while we were desperately worried about the safety of our loved ones in combat, at least we had a good idea about when they would come home.

Things are very different today. We have an all-volunteer military, with growing overseas commitments and the War Against Terrorism. These military members and their families are stretched beyond all reasonable limits, both economically and emotionally.

Regardless of how you feel about the War Against Terrorism, and how we got where we are today, you should care about the everyday people who are involved in it ... the military members and their families.

These people are going through very tough times, and they need our help. Please visit the USO Web Site and find out what you can to do to help.

Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
